Coaching Yourself, Self-Coaching

NLP Technology of Achievement: Coaching Yourself

Consider these points:
Ø What do you want to achieve? What are your goals?
Ø What is the path towards achieving your goal? What are the specific steps on this pathway?
Ø What are you best at doing for yourself? How do you do that? How can you apply these skills in new ways to achieve your goals?
Ø What are you least practiced at doing? What level of excellence would you like to achieve in this area?
Ø What might be the first step to help you improve your skills? What is the first improvement you can make then in coaching yourself?
Ø What might be your next step?
Self-Coaching: Using the GROW Model on Yourself
To improve your performance and develop a roadmap to your personal success, you can also use the GROW (Goal – Reality – Options – Wrap-up) model on yourself: identify specific goals you wish to achieve; assess the current situation; list your options and make choices; and, finally, make steps towards your goal specific and define timing.
Put Your Plan Into Action
Adapted from "The Easy Way To Put Your Business Plans Into Action", Wendy Hearn
One of the best ways to identify the actions that you're ready and willing to take is by asking yourself empowering and powerful questions. You do need to be sure that your plans are current and up to date. Ask yourself one or a couple of questions, such as:
Ø What one specific action would have the greatest impact on bringing this plan to fruition?
Ø What is the one action that I most need to take today?
Ø What do I feel inspired and ready to do now?
Before asking the questions, quiet your mind and be willing to listen to your answer. Once you've identified the actions needed, get started now. This identifies the most effective action to take in alignment with what you most want through your business plan. As you build the habit of asking yourself these questions, you may want to add your own or choose different ones.
